This book is a collection of the Responsa which Rabbi David Golinkin published in Moment magazine from 1990-1996. The goal of those columns was to show the way in which Jewish Law grapples with modern ethical and legal dilemmas such as “Returning Territories for the Sake of Peace”, “Institutionalizing Parents with Alzheimer’s Disease”, “Genetic Engineering”, “Is it a Mitzvah to Make Aliyah?” and more. The book is organized according to the order of the Shulhan Arukh, the bibliography has been updated and a chapter was added on “The Whys and Hows of Conservative Halakhah”. The book concludes with a glossary of Hebrew terms.
